Sierra
Outfitters is the premier on-line retailer. We
recently received a letter from Michelle
Hunter of Salt Lake City: "Sierra
Outfitters is my favorite place to buy on the
internet for so many reasons. First off, they
have an excellent return policy: I have never
had a problem in making a return or an exchange.
Secondly, they have the best prices you can find.
I recently bought a suede jacket for my husband
for $80. Here in Utah, the cheapest price I could
find in the stores for the same thing was over
$150. It was his favorite Christmas present this
year. I buy all my husband's work clothes at Sierra
Outfitters. Some of the Carhart items sell for
less thank half the price they do in the stores.
My husband is in Construction, and the kids ride
dirt bikes- we need the toughest clothing available.
Lastly, I really like the women's selection that
Sierra Outfitters carries. It is so affordable,
and they have an amazing selection of workout
clothes too. Try them out, they are my favorite
store!" Thanks, Michelle! |

Target
is by far the leading retailer online for household
items. The are also one of our "Certified Free
Shipping" store- check their web site for free
shipping specials. One of our readers write
in: "We are pretty new to Online
Shopping: Last year was the first time we really
started to buy things over the internet, so
when my wife started buying the things we normally
get from Target online, I was happy because
I knew we could trust in the Target Brand. You
will never catch us in a Walmart!"

  Overstock.com
has partnerships with many leading name-brand
companies. Because of these relationships, we
are able to buy products at significant discounts,
which then allow us to pass these incredible
savings on to you. Here are a few examples of
how we do this:
-
Overproduced Products
Each year manufacturers estimate how many
products they will sell. Many times they overestimate
and produce too many products. The manufacturer
is forced to liquidate these excess products.
We purchase these products at below-wholesale
costs and then pass the savings on to you.
-
Cancelled Orders
Store managers frequently change the products
they sell in their stores. As a result, they
often cancel orders they have with manufacturers.
The manufacturers are forced to liquidate
these excess products. We purchase these products
at below-wholesale costs and then pass the
savings on to you.
-
Company-Specific Issues
A company may be downsizing, moving facilities,
or just need to reduce its inventory for any
number of reasons. The company is willing
to sell the products for less than it normally
would (often below its cost) to get rid of
the products quickly. We purchase these products
and pass the savings on to you.

A
personal letter from Richard Thalheimer,
founder and CEO of Sharper Image: "I started
this business in 1977 for one big reason —
to have fun! Our company's mission is to share this
enthusiasm — to share the fun of discovering
all kinds of exciting, well-designed and technologically
advanced products. As The Sharper Image has grown,
my passion for new products has grown, too, and
today, we are an international icon of innovation
— a unique kind of specialty retailer that
represents the highest standards of customer service."
Thanks, Richard! We also have a letter from Tony
Smith of Springfield, Illinois:
"Every Year, we look forward to the
gifts we receive that are from the Sharper Image.
From air cleaners to telescopes, they have a gift
for everyone. Their return policy is excellent!"
